Itinerary
We will begin with a visit to the local market, a vibrant place where we can admire the variety of fresh, natural products that Arequipa has to offer. Here, we will also taste some local fruits and discover the origins of the delicious Arequipa cuisine.
Next, we will head to one of the few traditional Picanterías that still preserve their essence. We will have the opportunity to enter the kitchen, immerse ourselves in the typical aromas and flavors, and hear the experts share the history of this iconic place. Here, we will learn how the famous chicha de jora is made and, of course, taste it accompanied by a delicious traditional snack.
To finish, we will visit a Picantería-restaurant specially designed to transport its guests to old Arequipa. In this unique atmosphere, we will taste the classic "americano" dish and end with the exquisite queso helado, a true Arequipa delicacy.
