Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lima and transfer to hotel.


Our team will be waiting for you at Lima airport to take you to the hotel. After check-in, you'll receive a detailed explanation of the itinerary, along with information on things to do around, restaurants, stores, and more.

We recommend taking some time to rest so you can experience Lima at its fullest! Don't miss the chance to try the famous Peruvian cuisine and visit its beautiful districts.

Optional (Not Included): Magical Water Circuit Tour, Pachacamac Archaeological Site Tour.

Day 2: Modern and Colonial Lima City Tour + Gold Museum.


Breakfast at the hotel. And what better way to explore Lima's colonial center than with a guided tour from a local expert!

On this tour, you'll see the most historically and culturally significant sites in the city center, including: Parque de Exposición, Plaza Grau, Paseo de los Héroes Navales, Plaza San Martín, Plaza de Armas, Government Palace, and Lima Cathedral.

After the visit, we will continue to the Miraflores district for a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, one of the 54 "Huacas" in Lima, a well-preserved pre-Inca sanctuary within the city.

After a morning of activities and history, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore and keep enjoying the city.

Day 3: Arequipa City Tour.


Our team will take you to Lima International Airport in time for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, we will pick you up to start our adventure through the Peruvian Andes, beginning with a City Tour of Arequipa.

On this guided tour, you'll explore the second-largest city in Peru, known for its striking historical center. You'll visit historic monuments like Arequipa's main square and Yanahuara viewpoint.

In the afternoon, your journey by train will begin. You'll travel from Arequipa to Puno to explore Lake Titicaca, and then continue to the Imperial City of Cusco.

Day 4: Puno - Lake Titicaca.


Once in Puno, you'll visit the highest navigable lake in the world, where you'll explore the famous Uros Floating Islands. These man-made islands are built entirely from totora reeds, a plant that grows on the lake's surface. Here, you'll learn about the locals' daily lives and how they've maintained their ancestral culture almost intact.

Later, you'll continue to the nearby Taquile Island, where you'll stop for lunch and enjoy a typical dance performance. This exceptional place offers incredible photo opportunities thanks to its otherworldly landscape. Afterward, you'll return to the train station by Lake Titicaca to board your train to Cusco.

Day 5: Raqchi Archaeological Site - Cusco.


On your way to Cusco, you'll stop to visit one of the region's most significant archaeological sites, Raqchi, home to the Temple of Wiracocha, a sacred place for the Inca culture.

Once in Cusco, our team will take you to your hotel, where you'll try the famous coca tea, known for helping with altitude sickness. After check-in, our team will provide you with a city map, pointing out key places of interest, restaurants, currency exchange offices, shops, and more.

Important Note: Cusco is located at 3,400 meters above sea level, so we recommend you take a few hours to adjust to the altitude before exploring the city.

Day 6: Cusco City Tour.


In the morning, you'll enjoy the different attractions within the historic center of Cusco with our local guide. (Exclusive tour available only for Viagens Machu Picchu passengers).

In the afternoon, we'll start the Archaeological City Tour, visiting different attractions within the city and its surroundings, such as Sacsayhuaman, the Temple of Coricancha, and much more.

Optional Visit: The Qosqo Native Art Center offers daily performances of Andean music and dances from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We recommend arriving 45 minutes in advance. Entrance tickets are included in your package.

Day 7: Sacred Valley of the Incas - Aguas Calientes.


On this day, we'll head out in the morning for the Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour. Our first stop will be the Taray viewpoint, where we can enjoy the magnificent view of the Sacred Valley.

Next, we’ll visit Pisac, a small town known for its authentic cultural expression and its notable archaeological site. Later, we’ll have lunch in Urubamba, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

The tour will end in Ollantaytambo, where we'll visit one of the oldest towns in the valley and its impressive archaeological site. After exploring Ollantaytambo, we’ll board the train to Aguas Calientes, a village nestled in the midst of the jungle mountains, surrounded by a majestic natural setting.

Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cusco.


The wait is over, it's time to live the dream! Our team will take you from the hotel to board the bus to Machu Picchu. The bus ride lasts about 30 minutes from Aguas Calientes to the main entrance of the citadel.

Our professional guide will provide all the details about this world wonder, including the mysteries and fascinating facts of Inca culture. After our visit to Machu Picchu, we'll return to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.

Day 9: Cusco - Lima.


Our team will be waiting for you at the hotel to take you to the airport, marking the end of our services.

Quick Tip: If your flight from Cusco to Lima departs in the afternoon, we encourage you to visit some of the museums in the historic center: The Museum of Contemporary Art, the Regional Museum, the Qorikancha Museum, and the Museum of Popular Art. Don't worry about the tickets, they’re already included in your Cusco Tourist Ticket!
