08:30 – Hotel pick-up in Sucre
We will pick you up directly from your hotel and head to the village of Chataquila to begin this natural adventure.
Hike along the Inca Trail of Chataquila
From Chataquila, we will start an approximately 2-hour hike along the ancient Inca trail, learning about medicinal plants such as muña and wira wira while enjoying the scenery.
Chaunaca and the Maragua Crater
After the hike, we will continue by bus to the impressive Maragua Crater, a natural amphitheater of vivid colors formed thousands of years ago, where we will explore and admire its unique landscapes.
Interaction with Local Communities
We will visit local homes where residents share their agricultural and artisanal lifestyle, including textile production, legends, and local traditions.
Picnic lunch
Enjoy an outdoor picnic lunch in an unparalleled natural setting, recharging your energy for the rest of the tour.
Return with panoramic stop
On the way back to Sucre, we will stop at a viewpoint to admire the Bolivian countryside before arriving at your hotel around 3:30 PM.
Optional Dinosaur Footprints (Niñu Mayu)
For the extended option, after the viewpoint we continue to the Niñu Mayu dinosaur footprints site for an additional 2-hour hike exploring these Cretaceous-era traces before returning to Sucre (approx. 5:30 PM).
