Between Inca Trails and the Landscapes of Maragua Crater
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sucre to begin this adventure toward the village of Chataquila, where we will start a hike along the ancient Inca Trail, a route of about two hours during which you will discover Andean medicinal plants such as muña and wira wira while enjoying the valley landscapes.
Next, we will continue by transport to Chaunaca and the Maragua Crater, an impressive natural amphitheater formed over millions of years, featuring unique colors and geological formations that we will explore in depth.
Afterwards, you will enjoy a local community experience, visiting families who share their agricultural lifestyle and traditional weaving practices, where you will learn about their customs, stories, and way of life.
Later on, we will enjoy a picnic-style lunch outdoors in an incredible natural setting, the perfect moment to relax and connect with the surroundings before heading back to Sucre, stopping at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the Bolivian countryside.
Finally, if you choose the extended option, after the viewpoint we will continue to Niñu Mayu, where we will hike to observe Cretaceous dinosaur footprints, before returning to the city.
