Day 1: Puno – Uros Floating Islands & Amantaní Experience
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno between 7:40 and 8:00 a.m. and accompany you to the port to embark together towards the Uros Floating Islands. There you will discover how this ancestral community builds its islands, houses, and rafts with totora reeds, maintaining a self-sufficient and ecological lifestyle in harmony with the Sacred Lake. We will then continue sailing to Amantani Island, a place without cars or paved streets, but full of peace and Andean spirituality.
You will be welcomed by a local family who will offer you a lunch prepared with organic products and comfortable lodging. In the afternoon, we will accompany you on a walk to the pre-Inca temple of Pachatata, where you will witness a magical sunset over Lake Titicaca and the sacred mountains.
At night, we will share a cultural evening with music, dances, and traditional costumes under an unforgettable starry sky in the Peruvian highlands.
Day 2: Amantani – Taquile – Puno
At dawn, you will wake up to the sound of birds and enjoy a warm traditional breakfast prepared by your host family. After thanking them for their hospitality, we will accompany you to board the boat towards Taquile Island, famous for its textile art recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Together, we will take a walk through ancestral agricultural terraces to the center of the village, where you will observe how the artisans create hats, belts, and chullos, each carrying its own cultural meaning. Before departing, we will share a typical lunch overlooking Lake Titicaca. Finally, we will return by boat to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 3:30 p.m., where our team will accompany you back to your hotel.
