Itinerary

Day 1

Mystical Highland Route: Aramu Muru, Thunco, Molloco and Chucuito

Explore the legacy of ancient kingdoms and cultures of the Peruvian highlands on a journey that connects history, spirituality, and cultural evolution. We begin the route toward the legendary Aramu Muru, a portal carved into solid rock with a central indentation, surrounded by the so-called stone forest, a place associated with rituals and spiritual stories that give it a unique mystical character.

We continue to Thunco, where we will observe geoglyphs and semi-sunken agricultural structures used as climate protection systems for crops in high-altitude areas. Then we visit Molloco, an archaeological site that shows the Inca presence within the Lupaca culture, with a necropolis made up of tubular and square funerary structures intended for the elite of the time.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Chucuito, where we will visit the Inca Uyo Fertility Temple, the Main Square, its Renaissance-style church, and the representative sundial made of Huamanga stone. At this point, you will have free time for lunch. Finally, we return to Puno, ending an experience full of history, symbolism, and Andean cultural heritage.
