Itinerary

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to begin a fascinating journey through some of the most important archaeological and cultural sites of the Peruvian Altiplano.

Our first stop will be Aramu Muru, a mysterious stone portal surrounded by an impressive rock forest, renowned for its mystical atmosphere, ancient legends, and deep spiritual significance in the Andean worldview.

Next, we will continue to Thunco, where you will discover ancient geoglyphs and waru waru (raised agricultural fields), an ingenious farming system developed by pre-Hispanic cultures to protect crops from the harsh high-altitude climate.

We will then visit Molloco, an important archaeological site that reflects the Inca influence on the Lupaca culture. Here, you will explore its ancient necropolis, featuring tubular and square funerary structures built for members of the local elite.

Our final stop will be Chucuito, known as the "City of the Royal Treasuries." You will visit the Temple of Fertility (Inca Uyo), the Main Square, its historic Renaissance-style church, and the ancient Huamanga stone sundial. You will also have free time to enjoy lunch before returning to Puno, concluding a memorable experience filled with archaeology, history, culture, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Peruvian Altiplano.
