Day 1: Uros – Taquile – Luquina
We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and accompany you to the port to begin our journey to the famous Uros Floating Islands. There, you will discover the lifestyle of this ancestral community of Lake Titicaca, learning about their traditions, customs, and survival techniques on islands made entirely of totora reeds on the highest navigable lake in the world.
We will then continue to Taquile Island, renowned for its exceptional Andean textile art, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. You will also enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared with local ingredients while admiring breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Titicaca.
In the afternoon, we will head to the community of Luquina, where you will be warmly welcomed by local families in their cozy homestays. This special welcome marks the beginning of an authentic cultural experience on Lake Titicaca, sharing daily life, traditions, and customs with the local Andean community.
Day 2: Luquina – Puno
At sunrise, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Andean breakfast prepared with fresh local ingredients from the community. Afterwards, you will experience an authentic rural immersion in Luquina, participating in traditional activities such as Andean farming, artisanal fishing, and animal care, always guided by local community members who will share their ancestral knowledge and traditions.
Later, we will share a flavorful traditional Lake Titicaca lunch, prepared with natural regional ingredients and authentic Andean flavors. Finally, we will return to the city of Puno, where we will accompany you to your hotel, concluding an unforgettable cultural, human, and spiritual experience.
Optionally, you may also enjoy activities such as panoramic hikes, kayaking on Lake Titicaca, or cycling routes around Luquina. These activities require prior reservation and involve an additional cost.
