The tour begins with hotel pickup in Puno and a journey to the Archaeological Complex of Sillustani, one of the most important necropolises of the Peruvian highlands. Here, you will admire the imposing pre-Inca chullpas, ancient funerary towers located beside Lake Umayo in a setting filled with history and spirituality.
The journey continues to Lampa, known as the “Pink City” for its colonial architecture. You will visit the Church of Santiago Apóstol, famous for its silver altar and for housing a unique replica of Michelangelo’s Pietà in Latin America. You will also visit a chinchilla breeding center and enjoy a walk through its traditional streets.
Later, the route continues to Pucará, cradle of an ancient Andean culture. You will visit the Lithic Museum, where ancestral sculptures and ceramics are displayed, and an artisan workshop of Toritos de Pucará, where you will learn about their craftsmanship and symbolic meaning in Andean worldview.
Finally, you will return to Puno, concluding a culturally enriching experience full of history and living traditions.
