We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to begin a journey through three of the most remarkable destinations in the Peruvian Altiplano, where archaeology, colonial heritage, and living traditions come together.
Our first stop will be the Sillustani Archaeological Complex, located on the shores of Lake Umayo. Here, you will explore its impressive chullpas (pre-Inca and Inca funerary towers) while enjoying breathtaking landscapes rich in history and mysticism.
Next, we will continue to Lampa, known as the Pink City for its colonial architecture. You will visit the Church of Santiago Apóstol, famous for its magnificent silver altar and for housing a unique replica of Michelangelo's Pietà. You will also visit a chinchilla breeding center and stroll through the town's charming historic streets.
Our journey then continues to Pucará, the birthplace of one of southern Peru's oldest civilizations. At the Pucará Lithic Museum, you will discover ancient monoliths, sculptures, and ceramics that showcase the legacy of this remarkable culture. You will also visit a local artisan workshop to learn how the traditional Toritos de Pucará are handcrafted, symbols of prosperity, protection, and good fortune in the Andean world.
Finally, we will return to Puno, concluding an unforgettable experience filled with archaeology, colonial history, living traditions, and the cultural heritage of the Peruvian Altiplano.
