Itinerary

Day 1

Our Private Uros & Taquile Tour offers complete flexibility in departure times and visit duration, making it ideal for couples, families, and small groups seeking a more comfortable, exclusive, and personalized experience on Lake Titicaca. We recommend starting between 5:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to enjoy the best scenery and smoother navigation.

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and continue to the main port, where we will board a comfortable private boat to sail across the breathtaking waters of Lake Titicaca toward the famous Uros Floating Islands and the traditional Taquile Island.

During our visit to Taquile, we will explore the local handicraft market and discover one of the most important cultural expressions of the Peruvian highlands: the renowned Taquile textile art, recognized as a living cultural heritage. You will also witness demonstrations explaining the symbolism behind traditional garments such as the iconic chullos, belts, and calendar waistbands, which represent the identity and worldview of the local community.

Afterward, we will continue to the Uros Floating Islands, where you will visit both a family island and the main island. Here, you will learn about the ancient techniques used to build the floating islands and boats made from totora reeds, as well as the customs, daily activities, and lifestyle of the local inhabitants. Optionally, you may enjoy a traditional totora reed boat ride (additional cost between S/. 10.00 and S/. 15.00).
