Itinerary

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno and transfer you to the port, where you will board a traditional boat bound for a less-visited area of the Uros Floating Islands on Lake Titicaca.

During this authentic cultural experience, you will spend time with a local Uros family and take part in their daily activities. You will learn how they harvest totora reeds, the natural material used to build their floating islands and boats, and even have the opportunity to help cut the reeds. You will also discover traditional fishing techniques and, depending on the season, participate in collecting bird eggs and setting traditional bird traps.

Your hosts will show you how the floating islands are built, share their ancestral traditions, and demonstrate the craftsmanship behind their handmade products, offering a genuine insight into their unique way of life.

At the end of the experience, we will return to Puno, where you will be transferred back to your hotel, concluding an unforgettable day immersed in the living culture of the Uros people.
