Itinerary

Day 1

Discovering the culture of Tiwanaku and Puma Punku

Our experience begins with pickup from your hotel in downtown La Paz, followed by a journey to the impressive Tiwanaku archaeological complex, located near Lake Titicaca. Recognized as one of the oldest and most advanced civilizations in the Andean world, Tiwanaku stood out for its remarkable achievements in architecture, astronomy, and spirituality, leaving behind a legacy that still fascinates visitors today.

Our first stop will be the Tiwanaku Site Museum, home to important stone and ceramic artifacts, including traditional ceremonial keros used in ancient Andean rituals.

We will then explore the most important areas of the archaeological complex, including the iconic Gate of the Sun, the Akapana Pyramid, the impressive Bennett Monolith, the Kalasasaya Temple, and other sites of great historical and cultural importance.

Throughout the tour, you will admire enormous stone blocks carved with astonishing precision, as well as ceremonial structures and reliefs that continue to inspire theories and mystery surrounding this ancestral civilization.

Later, we will visit Puma Punku, one of the most enigmatic sectors of Tiwanaku, famous for its colossal perfectly assembled stone blocks. Here, we will enjoy a traditional Andean lunch at a local tourist restaurant.
