Itinerary

Day 1

Tarapoto – Rioja – Tío Yacu – Moyobamba – San Mateo – Tarapoto

The experience begins at 7:30 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Tarapoto to start the journey toward the Alto Mayo Valley. At 8:30 a.m., we will travel by road to Rioja, passing through high jungle landscapes, rivers, vegetation and small villages. Around 10:00 a.m., we will arrive at the Tío Yacu river spring, a natural area with crystal-clear waters, perfect for relaxing, walking and enjoying direct contact with nature.

We will then continue to Moyobamba, where at 1:30 p.m. we will enjoy an à la carte tourist lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we will visit the Moyobamba Orchid Garden at 2:30 p.m. to discover representative orchid species of the region, followed by a tasting of Amazonian liquors at Chacra Vieja at 2:45 p.m., made with typical Amazonian fruits.

At 3:00 p.m., you will have time to relax in the San Mateo Hot Springs, surrounded by nature. Before returning, we will stop at 4:30 p.m. for a tasting of Alto Mayo coffee, known for its aroma and quality. Finally, we will begin the return trip to Tarapoto at 5:30 p.m., with arrival around 7:30 p.m.
