Arequipa a Puno vía Colca, paisajes, cultura y conexión andina

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Arequipa between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m., starting the journey toward the Colca Valley. As we leave the city, we will enter the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a high-Andean ecosystem where you may observe vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and various birds in their natural habitat.

Along the way, we will cross Pampas Cañahuas and landscapes surrounded by volcanoes and snow-capped mountains. We will also stop at the Volcanoes Viewpoint, located at approximately 4,800 meters above sea level, the highest point of the route. Upon arrival in Chivay, you will have free time for lunch, not included, and then check in at your accommodation.

After breakfast, we will begin the day early with a visit to the Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint, considered the best place to observe the flight of the Andean condor. From this point, you will also appreciate the impressive depth of the Colca Canyon and its agricultural terraces, used since pre-Inca times. Along the way, we will stop at natural viewpoints such as Wayrapunko, Antahuilque and Choquetico, where you can admire unique landscapes, geological formations and traces of ancient Andean cultures.

We will also visit traditional villages such as Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, known for their colonial architecture, historic churches and local customs. Back in Chivay, we will enjoy a buffet lunch with typical regional dishes. Afterward, we will start the journey to Puno, crossing the Andean highlands and stopping at Lagunillas, a natural landscape surrounded by water mirrors and high-Andean birds. Arrival in Puno will be at approximately 7:00 p.m., with transfer to your hotel.
