Day 1

Sillustani: Living culture and unforgettable nature

Pickup and Departure from Puno

In the afternoon, our team will pick you up from your hotel located in downtown Puno to begin the journey to the Sillustani Archaeological Complex.

Sillustani Archaeological Complex

Upon arrival, we will take a guided walk through the necropolis, where you will admire the Sillustani chullpas, ancient stone mausoleums used to house mummies and ceremonial offerings.

History and Meaning of the Site

During the tour, the guide will explain the historical, architectural and spiritual importance of the site, as well as the cultural context of the civilizations that lived in the area.

Traditional Andean Home

Afterward, we will visit an Andean home, where you will learn about the highland lifestyle, local customs and houses built with stone, mud and straw.

Lake Umayo and Return

You will also see llamas and alpacas with Lake Umayo as a natural backdrop. Finally, we will return to Puno, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m. with transfer back to your hotel.
