Itinerary

We begin the experience with pickup from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the main port, where we board a motorboat to navigate across Lake Titicaca towards the floating islands of Chimu.

After approximately 30 minutes of navigation, we arrive at the island and are welcomed by local inhabitants, who introduce us to their daily way of life. During the visit, we learn about ancestral weaving techniques, the sustainable use of totora reeds, and their importance in the construction of islands, homes, and traditional boats.

We also observe the evolution of their handicrafts, from traditional kesanas to decorative and functional pieces that reflect cultural identity and local creativity.

At the end of the visit, we return by boat to the city of Puno, arriving at approximately 1:00 p.m.
