Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: La Paz - Salar de Uyuni - Incahuasi Island - San Juan

The night before, we will pick you up from your hotel in La Paz or provide a meeting point to board the overnight bus to Uyuni.

Upon arrival in the morning, you will have free time for breakfast before beginning your adventure through the Uyuni Salt Flats.

At 10:00 a.m., we will start the tour in a 4x4 vehicle, visiting the famous Train Cemetery, where you will discover historic locomotives that were once part of Bolivia's railway network.

We will continue to Colchani, a local community dedicated to traditional salt processing. From there, we enter the vast Uyuni Salt Flats to visit the iconic Salt Hotel, built entirely from salt blocks and considered one of the most photographed attractions in the region.

After enjoying lunch in the Uyuni Salt Flats, we will head to the spectacular Incahuasi Island, a rocky outcrop located in the heart of the salt desert. Here, you can walk among giant cacti, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, and admire the largest salt desert in the world.

In the afternoon, we will create the famous perspective photos that have made the Uyuni Salt Flats one of South America's most iconic destinations.

Finally, we arrive in San Juan, where we will spend the night in a comfortable family-run accommodation.

Meals: Lunch and dinner.

Day 2

Day 2: San Juan – Altiplano Lagoons – Siloli Desert – Laguna Colorada

After breakfast, we continue our expedition through the southern Bolivian Altiplano, exploring some of the region's most breathtaking landscapes.

Along the way, we will observe Ollagüe Volcano, one of the most representative active volcanoes in Bolivia. We will then visit the famous Altiplanic lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, Honda, and Ramaditas, known for their colorful waters and large colonies of Andean flamingos.

After lunch, we enter the spectacular Siloli Desert, one of Bolivia's most arid and fascinating landscapes. Here, you will discover the iconic Stone Tree, a remarkable rock formation sculpted by thousands of years of wind erosion.

The adventure continues with a visit to the stunning Red Lagoon (Laguna Colorada), one of the highlights of the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. Its vivid red colors, combined with the presence of pink flamingos and mineral-rich waters, create a truly unique landscape.

In the evening, we will stay at a basic refuge in Huayllajara, surrounded by the vast scenery of the Altiplano.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3

Day 3: Sol de Mañana Geysers – Hot Springs – Laguna Verde – Uyuni

Early in the morning, we will depart for the geothermal area of Sol de Mañana, one of the most impressive attractions of the Bolivian Altiplano. Here, you will witness active geysers, steam fumaroles, and remarkable volcanic activity while enjoying a breathtaking sunrise surrounded by unique landscapes.

Next, we will visit the Polques Hot Springs, where you can relax in natural thermal waters surrounded by the majestic Andean mountains. Breakfast will be served in this beautiful setting.

The journey continues to White Lagoon (Laguna Blanca) and the stunning Green Lagoon (Laguna Verde), located at the base of the majestic Licancabur Volcano. The lagoon's striking green color is caused by the high concentration of minerals found in the area, creating one of the most photographed landscapes in southwestern Bolivia.

On our return to Uyuni, we will stop for lunch and visit the fascinating Valley of the Rocks, famous for its enormous geological formations sculpted by wind erosion over millions of years.

Finally, we will pass through the villages of Villa Alota, Kulpinaka, and San Cristóbal before arriving in Uyuni at approximately 6:00 p.m., marking the end of this unforgettable adventure through the Uyuni Salt Flats and the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve.
