We begin the day with pick-up from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the port of Lake Titicaca, where we board our boat and start the navigation.
Our first stop is at the floating islands of the Uros, where we walk on totora reeds and share time with local families, who explain their Andean traditions, construction techniques, and way of life closely tied to the lake. For those who wish, we facilitate an optional ride on a traditional totora reed boat as part of the cultural experience.
We then continue navigating toward Taquile Island, a place where Andean essence remains intact. Along stone paths and agricultural terraces, we accompany a visit to a Quechua community proud of its heritage, learning firsthand about the importance of collective work and the symbolic value of its world-renowned textile art.
The experience concludes with a traditional lunch prepared by local families, where flavors such as Lake Titicaca trout, quinoa, and native potatoes are paired with Andean hospitality and cultural expressions that reflect the soul of the highlands. More than a tour, this day creates a genuine connection with this sacred territory.
